Through Talenthouse Magazine, I submitted image proposals that would help promote the movie “Last Night In Soho”. A Psychological thriller by Edgar Wright that takes place in 1960s London downtown night life setting. With these submissions, I wanted to convey a combination of duality, fashion and existential darkness. In addition, I tapped into my own experience during my time in England as an exchange student. Sooooo much fun.
This project was pretty difficult to wrap my head around. There were some strict yet subjective guidelines that had to be adhered to which really got in the way. It felt like trying to hit a moving target. However, I pulled off some pieces that I really can stand behind. Below are the examples that I liked best. My personal favorite is the mirrored woman who are smoking cigarettes existing in different spectrums. It captured the time period and over all tone. In short, it hit all the points.
